The key to having and maintaining healthy eyes is in the early detection of potential problems. We are happy to announce that we are now offering optomap® imaging as this gives us a much wider view of your retina than any other imaging device. Together with our OCT scanner, this allows us to detect potential retinal problems earlier.

Jon has now qualified as an Independent Prescriber. Optometrists with an IP qualification are able to clinically assess a patient, establish a diagnosis, determine the clinical management required and prescribe where necessary. They may prescribe any licensed medicine (except for controlled drugs or medicines for parenteral (injected) administration) for conditions affecting the eye, and the tissues surrounding the eye, within their recognised area of expertise and competence, and so be able to prescribe privately.
